Roopa Gogineni

Roopa Gogineni is a documentary filmmaker, photographer, and audio producer. She directed the podcast episode “Muzamil’s Day” for the FRONTLINE/Firelight Investigative Journalism Fellowship. Before returning to the U.S. in 2018, she lived in Kenya for seven years, contributing to outlets such as Al Jazeera, The Guardian, and PRI. Most recently, she directed the award-winning New York Times Op-Doc “I Am Bisha: The Rebel Puppeteers of Sudan.”
