Cristina Ibarra

Cristina Ibarra is an independent filmmaker with roots along the US/Mexico border. She is developing a new documentary collaboration, The Infiltrators.  The New York Times calls Cristina’s award-winning documentary Las Marthas “a striking alternative portrait of border life”.  It premiered on Independent Lens. The Last Conquistador had a national PBS broadcast on POV. USA Today called the film “Heroic”. Her award-winning short Dirty Laundry: A Homemade Telenovela was broadcast on PBS.  Tribeca, Sundance, Rockefeller, Creative Capital, the Ford Foundation, and many others have supported her filmmaking.
