This documentary follows the lives of a small group of these men who have recently been released from prison after decades in isolation. The film weaves these men’s present day journeys with their decades-long odysseys through solitary confinement, culminating in an epic confrontation with state prison authorities and the abolishment of indefinite solitary confinement in California prisons.
