Twiggy Pucci Garçon

TWIGGY PUCCI GARÇON is nonprofit strategist & facilitator, filmmaker, as well as cultural curator & practitioner. They have collaborated with Gucci, Coach, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, GLAAD, AIDS Healthcare Foundation, VOGUE, and more. Twiggy has held positions as the Program and Development and Design specialist at FACES NY, Harlem’s eldest minority-run HIV/AIDS service organization as well as the Director of Youth Programs at the Bronx Community Pride Center. Over the course of a decade Twiggy worked their way from Program Manager to Chief Program and Strategy Officer at Cyndi Lauper’s True Colors United- expanding their work around LGBTQ+ youth homelessness to a global portfolio. Twiggy is also the International Mother for the Legendary House of Comme des Garçon, the Chief Ambassador for the Center for Black Equity, and Co-Founder of All Tea, No Shade Productions alongside award-winning writer George M. Johnson.

Twiggy was a featured subject in HBO’s THE OUT LIST (2013), was the co-writer and subject of Sara Jordenö’s award-winning documentary KIKI (Sundance 2016), and served as runway choreographer on Ryan Murphy’s Emmy-nominated FX series, POSE. Twiggy was an Executive Producer of the Emmy-nominated daytime special All Boys Aren’t Blue, a consultant on the Equalizer, and a 2023 Concordia Film Fellow. Her short documentary MnM is currently streaming online on PBS. Today, Twiggy serves as a consultant for NMAC as well as Funders Together for Housing Justice.

Crowned is a visually rich feature documentary that for the first time unveils the little known world of the underground LGBTQ+ Pageants, and celebrates the Black and brown trans women who have broken barriers, created families, and are making history.
