Jennifer Holness

Jen Holness writes, produces, directs and is considered a powerhouse in documentaries and scripted films. Her extensive body of work includes critically acclaimed projects like the recent 5-time Canadian Screen Award-winning docuseries BLK: An Origin Story. Her doc, Subjects of Desire, was a 2021 TIFF Top Ten film and sold to Hulu and Starz. Heralded by The Hollywood Reporter as one of the most powerful women in Canadian Entertainment, Jen recently produced RT Thorne’s thriller, 40 Acres, which will be released by Magnolia Pictures in the U.S. She is currently co-directing #WhileBlack, a feature documentary that explores Black witnessing and police brutality through the prism of our invasive mainstream media.
