Querida Fátima

A decade after her 12-year-old daughter Fátima was murdered in a brutal feminicide, Lorena Gutiérrez sets up camp outside of Mexico’s National Palace, demanding an audience with the country’s first female president. Directed collectively and led by Lorena herself, this visceral portrait captures the intersection of personal grief and political resistance in a country where, according to the United Nations, 10 women and girls are murdered every day.
