"Beyond Inclusion" features a discussion of the new report Beyond Inclusion: The Critical Role of People of Color in the U.S. Documentary Ecosystem authored by Sahar Driver and commissioned by the Ford Foundation’s JustFilms initiative about the contributions, power, and potential of filmmakers of color in nonfiction today, and the role that POC-led and supporting organizations play in fostering and sustaining their work and careers all across the country.

On Thursday, May 20 at 5pm ET, Firelight Media and the Center for Asian American Media (CAAM) presented a special edition of the Beyond Resilience Series at CAAMFest 2021 – “More Than One Lens.”
On the eve of Juneteenth, and in honor of Black Music Month,Firelight Media hosted a Beyond Resilience event celebrating music documentaries by and about Black artists.
