Rajal Pitroda is currently producing a feature documentary on race and the criminal justice system. She was the Founder/CEO of Cinevention, a media company focused on marketing and distribution, where she designed and executed the distribution strategy for feature films, including “Outsourced” which was developed into an NBC sitcom.
Prior to starting her own business, Rajal was a partner at Beyond the Box Productions, creating and running marketing campaigns for films, including two that premiered at Sundance. She began her career in film as the Director of entertainment marketing for the Confederation of Indian Industry in Mumbai. Rajal is interested in issues of racial justice and gender equity, has supported local political campaigns through outreach and voter engagement and has volunteered at sexual assault and domestic violence crisis centers. She is a graduate of London Business School and the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
